Cool Blogs and Stuff
Over the labor day weekend, several cool blogs and articles came out...
- NuevoBasso Blog - this blog is out of Chicago and written by a string bassist. His site is great and especially take some time to listen to his podcasts of his playing. He uses Odeo to create his podcasts; we'll be using the same software. His site is a very interesting model of what you could do with blogging as a musician.
- Evan Tobias' Catalysts and Connections Blog - This blog is one that check regularly. Evan and his colleagues regularly post interesting topics related to music teaching and learning - especially with technology. Check it out.
- NY Times article about Pandora.com - Last week I was interviewed by Jeff Leeds for this article, but they decided not to use any of my comments for it. Most likely, this is because I kept talking about the educational possibilities for Pandora and the article focuses on consumer experiences. However, this is a great article and Pandora.com is a very cool free tool to discover new music.
